The mortal soul transcends the limits of the flesh. Yet the soul is still guided by the flesh which often leads it astray. Feelings of anger, sadness, and resentment cloud the soul from the Truth. In falsity it becomes entangled and most souls never escape. The web is further built around the trapped soul creating a labyrinth of suffering. Which begs the question, how can the soul become free?
The soul must go against the appetites of the flesh to break it's chains. Those of hunger, lust, greed, and arragonce must be fought. These are the real enemies of the soul, which look to corrupt it. Thus, when the flesh tells the soul to take a certain action it must resist. Conversely, when the flesh desires to avoid an action, that is precisely the action the soul must undertake. For the flesh looks to decieve the soul as they are immortal enemies fighting a never ending battle.
